#GotArt

I wanted to do the #GotArt challenge by invaluable.com and what a privilege to share with you the art I have in my home.  Their link is http://www.invaluable.com/paintings/cc-AF14022FJQ/
Many of the pieces are my own, like the below foyer of my home with my large whimsical buildings of downtown Hot Springs,AR.  I love our town and I want that to show when someone enters my home.  Also below is a vintage platter with chalk art in the middle and a whimsical vintage car.
The art I cherish most is the artwork created by the six small artists that live under my roof.

I also love placing scripture art almost anywhere I can think of to help remind me of what is truly important!
This portrait of my grandparents is the most precious material possession I own.  I adore it.  It was commissioned by by uncle from artist Jane Garrison.
The painting above our bed I love because of the mystery of the storm it portrays.  It was my husband's grandmother's.

Hard days

Today was hard.  It ended with me cleaning up vomit, again, and babies crying.  It's moments like those I'm thankful to retreat to God's Word...to know He'll never leave or forsake me, to know He makes no mistakes, to know what I do is valuable.  He is good.  I was able to work on some Advent goodies to give at church and here is a preview.  How refreshing to run to The Cross!

I'm learning

This past year has been a whirl wind!  We moved, built a home, and then surprise...had triplets!!!! What?! I don't know what I'm doing or how I'm doing it...I also think I won't remember most of This year....but I do know that my God is supplying all my needs.  And I've realized how desperately I need Him.  I haven't slept much this year, but I pray daily that the sleep I get will be enough.  My house isn't clean, but I realize that years from now I'll have plenty time to clean and I'll miss this mess.  I'm currently changing four diapers at a time and I can't seem to get very far in potty training our two year old. His grace is sufficient.
